3. Website and Cookies
Google Analytics: This cookie allows us to get information about user activity on a given website, including but not limited to page views, what type of internet connected device is used and the length of the visit on the given website. The information is not personally identifiable and is displayed as numbers, which means that it cannot be traced back to named individuals. This contributes to the protection of your privacy. With the help of Google Analytics we can monitor what content is popular on our website and strive to give you more of the content that you as a user has shown the most interest in.
3.2 As mentioned in section 3.1. we use Google Analytics cookies to gain insight into the actions of our users on our website. We share the data related to the number of clicks on travel package ads with our advertisers. All other data is used solely to improve the website and user experience for you as a visitor. 4.5. Your newsletter permission can be withdrawn at any given time by contacting Arctic Circle Trail. Use the contact form above if you wish more information. You have the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter at the bottom of each newsletter email. This is done by pressing the “unsubscribe newsletter” button – then your email address will be deleted from the system. You can also send an email to [email protected] if you want to be deleted from the system.
5. Processing of Personal Information
5.1. We use your email address for sending newsletters. In addition, we use the information to optimize our services to offer you the most relevant content. We will keep your information as long as it is relevant. In this connection until you unsubscribe from our newsletter.

5.2. Personal information as it is defined in the Personal Data Act.

6.1. We may share your personal information with the suppliers and collaborators who assist with our IT operations, hosting, etc. This means, for example, that we can share your information with our service providers and our technical support.
7. Sharing Information with Recipients Outside of the EU/EEA
7.1 As a company located in Greenland (which is outside the EU/EEA), we share personal information with the local partners who are also located outside the EU/EEA (Greenland). Greenland however is a part of the Danish Realm and the legislation therefore corresponds with the Danish legislation to a very large extent with only a few exceptions.

8.1. 9. Protection of Personal Information
9.1. In accordance with the Personal Data Act your personal information must be stored safely and confidentially. We save your personal information on encrypted servers placed in controlled facilities and our security measures are regularly controlled by our IT supplier to ensure that our user data is handled responsibly and with due regard to your rights as a user. However, we cannot guarantee 100 percent security for data transfers over the Internet. This means that there may be a (limited) risk that others unauthorized gain access to information when data is sent and stored electronically. You thus disclose your personal information at your sole discretion.
9.2. Personal data is deleted or anonymized continuously after use. Personal data will be stored for a maximum of 12 months after the end of the initial use.
9.4. To the extent that personal information about you is processed, you have the right to obtain information on what personal information is attributable to you according to the Personal Data Act. If it appears that the information or data processed about you is incorrect or misleading, you are entitled to require these corrected, deleted or blocked. You can object to any information about you being processed. You may revoke your permission at any given time. You also have the opportunity to complain about the processing of information and data regarding you. A complaint may be submitted to the Data Protection Authority as per the Personal Data Act’s § 58, section 1.
